Privacy Policy

Effective date:

This policy applies to the current development build of Bramblebound and support correspondence about the game. The game is under development; future releases may introduce changes described in an updated policy.

Privacy at a glance: Bramblebound works offline. Game progress, inventory, and preferences are saved on your computer. The current build has no accounts, advertising, analytics, in-app purchases, or cloud sync.

1. Who we are

Bramblebound is operated by AC Utveckling (AC mobiltillbehör HB), based in Sweden.

For privacy questions, contact claeseriksson@acutveckling.com.

2. Information stored on your computer

The game saves the following records locally in achievements.cfg:

These records let you keep your progress, unlock content, and resume with your chosen guardian and equipment. They are not linked to an account or sent to us.

The Godot engine may also create local technical logs and cache files. Logs can contain engine messages, errors, and file paths used when running the game. These files support normal operation and troubleshooting and are not automatically uploaded to us.

3. Collection, sharing, and security

The current build does not make network requests or send gameplay records, settings, or technical logs to us or third parties. We do not sell or share this local game data.

The game has no accounts, advertising, analytics, in-app purchases, third-party tracking services, or developer-operated cloud storage.

Save files are stored on your computer under your operating-system user account. They are not encrypted by the game; protection depends on your computer’s access controls and security. Someone with access to your files may be able to read or change them.

Your operating system or backup software may keep separate copies of local files according to your settings and the provider’s policies. Bramblebound does not manage those backups.

4. Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you remove them. Starting a new run does not erase unlocked chapters, achievements, inventory, or preferences.

For the current Windows development build, close the game and open %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Bramblebound in File Explorer. Delete achievements.cfg to reset saved progress and preferences. To remove all files in the game’s local data folder, including logs and any cache files stored there, delete the Bramblebound folder. Do not delete the parent Godot folder, which may contain data for other games.

Removing the executable or uninstalling the game may leave this local data folder behind. Backup copies or caches held separately by your operating system or backup software must be managed through that software. We do not hold a server copy of your progress and cannot restore deleted saves.

5. Contact correspondence

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide, including any screenshots or logs you attach. We use it to answer your request and provide support, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Please avoid sending information unrelated to your request.

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request and follow up on it, or longer where a legal obligation requires it. Email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Support information is not collected automatically from the game.

6. Your rights

Where applicable under GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information we hold, or object to its processing, by contacting claeseriksson@acutveckling.com. We cannot access records stored only on your computer; you control them through your local files.

You can read more about your data protection rights and complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish data protection authority.

7. Children

The same offline gameplay practices apply to all players, including children. No personal information is required to play, and the current build does not collect personal information from players.

8. Policy changes

If the game’s features or data practices change, we will update this page with a new effective date. The policy for a future release may differ from this policy for the current development build.
