Bloom · Current development builds
Privacy Policy
Effective date:
This policy explains how the current development implementation of Bloom (Android package com.bloom.affirmations) handles information. It applies to the Android app, its Windows desktop preview, and support correspondence about the app, and describes the implemented features as of the effective date.
Privacy at a glance: Bloom works offline without an account. Your chosen display name, favorite affirmations, preferences, practice history, and seven-day journey progress stay on your device. The current app has no advertising, analytics, payments, or cloud synchronization. Reminder settings save a preference only; they do not send system notifications.
1. Who we are
Bloom is operated by AC Utveckling (AC mobiltillbehör HB), based in Sweden.
For privacy questions, contact claeseriksson@acutveckling.com.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves the following information locally in bloom.json to personalize its greeting, retain favorites and preferences, and show your practice progress:
- Your chosen display name, if you change the default greeting.
- Your Rose, Lavender, or Sage appearance choice, gentle-sound setting, and reduced-motion preference.
- Your daily-reminder preference and selected time.
- The identifiers of affirmations you mark as favorites.
- Practice records containing a calendar date and an affirmation or activity identifier.
- The calendar dates on which you completed steps of the seven-day self-love journey.
Bloom uses the device's calendar date to select the daily affirmation and calculate practice counts, day streaks, and journey progress. It does not save actual session durations, per-practice timestamps, or an unfinished timer.
The affirmations and journey prompts are included in the app. The current app does not have a journal, a free-text reflection field, or a feature for creating and storing your own affirmation text. You can keep the default display name.
The Godot engine may also create local logs and cached resources used to run or diagnose the app. Logs can contain technical messages, errors, and local file paths. None of these files are uploaded by the app.
3. Reminder preferences and clipboard copying
The Daily reminder option stores your preference and time in the local save. This version does not schedule or deliver Android system notifications.
If you choose Copy this affirmation, the selected affirmation text and its Bloom attribution are placed on your device's clipboard. This is a copy action, rather than an automatic upload or message. Clipboard access, history, or synchronization provided by your operating system or other software is controlled by that software and its settings.
The current app does not provide a separate file export of your saved preferences, favorites, or practice history.
4. Network access, third parties, and storage security
The current app does not connect to network services or transmit your display name, favorites, practice records, settings, or local engine files to us or third parties. It has no accounts, advertising or analytics SDKs, tracking services, payment or subscription integration, or developer-operated cloud synchronization.
Affirmations, journey prompts, artwork, and fonts are included locally. Gentle sounds are produced within the app. The app does not record audio or use a speech service, and does not request access to your microphone, camera, location, or contacts. The current Android build has no internet or notification permission and does not request external-storage access.
On Android, the save is held in the app's private storage, protected by the operating system's app storage controls. The Windows desktop preview uses your user account's app-data folder. The save is a local JSON file; the app does not add a separate password or encryption system. Access also depends on your device and user-account security.
The current Android configuration disables app-data backup and excludes private app data from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Bloom does not provide a cloud backup service. Copies you create through external tools must be managed separately.
Your operating system, app store, or device-management provider may process information independently under its own policies. Visiting this policy website involves ordinary web requests handled by the website's hosting provider; this is separate from the app's local records.
5. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you change or remove them. You can edit your display name and settings and remove individual favorites using their heart buttons.
Use Settings → Reset all app data → Delete my data to delete the app's bloom.json save and restore its defaults. This clears your saved display name, favorites, reminder preferences, other settings, practice history, and seven-day journey progress. It does not remove local engine logs or cached resources, or clear text already copied to your clipboard.
To remove all normal private app data and local engine files:
- On Android, use Android Settings → Apps → Bloom → Storage → Clear storage (sometimes called Clear data), or uninstall the app. Clearing cache alone does not erase saved records. Menu wording varies by device.
- For the Windows desktop preview, close Bloom and delete its app-data folder, normally
%APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Bloom\. Deleting the executable or project folder alone may leave this separate app-data folder behind.
Copies you created through external tools and any clipboard history or synchronization copies must be managed separately. Removing app data does not delete correspondence sent by email. We have no server copy of your favorites or progress and cannot restore deleted records.
6. Contact correspondence
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and resolve support issues, based on our legitimate interest in providing support. Email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it.
We retain correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request, relevant follow-up, or legal obligations. Please avoid sending information that is unnecessary for your support request. You can contact us to ask about or request deletion of your correspondence.
7. Your rights
Where applicable under GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or data portability, and object to processing of your personal information. Contact claeseriksson@acutveckling.com to exercise your rights. We cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your device; you can remove it using the steps above.
Read more about your data protection rights. You may also lodge a complaint with Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
8. Policy changes
We will update this page and its effective date if the app's features or data practices change, including before adding features that collect or transmit information. This policy describes the current development implementation; future releases may have an updated policy. An offline privacy policy is also available in Settings → Privacy policy in the app.
